About the job
Provides security and safety for Jefferson hospital and university locations through patrols, emergency response, incident reporting, and assistance to staff, patients, students, and visitors.
What you'll do
- Patrols fixed posts, buildings, grounds, and parking areas; checks identification and addresses security or safety hazards.
- Responds to calls and emergencies, assists with conflict resolution, and supports safety teams.
- Investigates and documents incidents, maintains patrol logs, and provides escorts and other assistance.

- High school diploma/GED.
- Complete relevant Security Department training modules and maintain required training; understand the responsibilities and technology of the 24-hour Security Response Center.
- Able to run one city block, physically subdue an unruly/violent individual, and work in all weather conditions.
- Able to work all shifts and rotate shifts; obtain Lethal Weapons Certification - Pennsylvania State Police within 90 days.
Nice to have
- Associate’s Degree; related advanced training in Criminal Justice strongly preferred.
- 1 year experience in campus/hospital security, law enforcement, or other related Criminal Justice agencies strongly preferred.
