Provides security and safety protection for hospital and university people and property through patrols, emergency response, investigations, and visitor assistance.
What you'll do
- Patrols facilities, checks identification, addresses security and safety hazards, and assists with parking and loss prevention.
- Responds to service calls and emergencies, notifies supervisors, and may use conflict-resolution skills.
- Investigates and documents incidents, maintains patrol logs, and assists staff, patients, students, and visitors.

- Complete and maintain required Security Department training and understand responsibilities and technology associated with the 24-hour Security Response Center.
- Ability to run one city block, physically subdue an unruly or violent individual, work in all weather, and rotate across shifts.
- Lethal Weapons Certification - Pennsylvania State Police Within 90 Days; ability to use Microsoft desktop applications (i.e. Word, E-mail).
Nice to have
- Associate’s Degree; related advanced training in Criminal Justice strongly preferred.
- 1 year experience in campus/hospital security, law enforcement, or other related Criminal Justice agencies strongly preferred.
Pay
$17.78 to $25.33 USD hourly base salary
