Assists the intraoperative surgical team by preparing and maintaining the sterile field, supporting patient care throughout surgery, and helping ensure safe, efficient operating room procedures.
What you'll do
- Prepare the operating room, equipment, instruments, and supplies; assist with gowning, gloving, draping, and maintaining sterile field integrity.
- Count instruments, sharps, and sponges with the circulating nurse; clean instruments and prepare them for sterilization.
- Support patients and the perioperative team, maintain supplies and a safe environment, and precept other surgical team members as needed.
