Supports the perioperative team by preparing the operating room and sterile field, assisting during surgery, maintaining instrument counts, and cleaning instruments for sterilization.
What you'll do
- Prepare the OR, equipment, instruments, supplies, and sterile field; help gown and glove the surgical team.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures, participate in safety time-outs, and count sharps, sponges, and instruments with the circulating nurse.
- Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization and help maintain a safe, organized OR environment.
