Artificial Intelligence Research Director - Executive Director

What you'll do

• Lead commercially oriented research projects with data science, engineering, and business teams; formulate problems, develop models, and conduct rigorous evaluations.
• Own a portfolio of AI capabilities, set strategic direction and priorities, and initiate research and reusable products with business impact.
• Communicate research through publications and presentations, and mentor researchers while translating research into deployed solutions.

What they ask for

• PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with relevant AI/ML research experience.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Research publications in top-tier AI/ML venues and deep expertise in fundamental AI/ML techniques, including multi-agent systems and reinforcement learning.
• Practical collaborative software development experience; ability to deliver tested, high-quality Python code and lead researchers and cross-functional execution.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow/Keras, or HuggingFace Transformers.
• Familiarity with formal verification tools and languages such as Coq/Isabelle/Lean, TLA+, Alloy, Z3, or PDDL.

$223,000.00-$325,000.00 USD base salary
