Leads a team investigating and mitigating money laundering and terrorist financing risks across fiat and digital assets, while developing detection approaches and delivering intelligence to stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Coach and develop investigators; manage case inventory, priorities, and resources.
- Lead complex investigations, prepare and file SARs, and share findings with internal stakeholders and external law enforcement as permitted.
- Partner with data and technology teams to build detection tools, reporting, and scalable investigative processes.
What they ask for
- At least 5 years of financial crime investigations experience, including SAR preparation and filing, with at least 3 years focused on digital asset investigations or compliance.
- People leadership and team development experience, plus project management experience delivering defined outcomes.
- Expert knowledge of banking systems and AML typologies, including digital asset typologies; proficiency with BSA/AML, sanctions, OFAC, and relevant FinCEN guidance.
- Hands-on experience using Chainalysis Reactor and experience with digital asset transaction monitoring and wallet/VASP screening.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with tokenization, DeFi, stablecoins, smart contracts, cross-chain activity, or other emerging digital asset technologies.
- Relevant certifications or experience with AML platforms such as Actimize or Mantas.
