Lead Software Engineer - Chief Technology Office (CTO)

What you'll do

• Designs, develops, reviews, and troubleshoots production software across multiple technical areas.
• Promotes validated, secure use of AI-assisted engineering tools and improves team adoption of automation.
• Evaluates architectural designs and addresses recurring issues to improve application stability.

What they ask for

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Java programming, with hands-on system design, application development, testing, and operational stability experience.
• Hands-on database experience with Amazon Aurora or Postgres, including performance tuning and reliability.
• Practical cloud-native experience and hands-on AWS experience; proficiency across the SDLC, CI/CD, resiliency, and security.

Nice to have

• Terraform; MyBatis or similar Java persistence frameworks; modern web frontends and Node.js services.
• GitHub Copilot or Claude Code experience; incident management, triage, post-incident reviews, and operational hardening.
