Manager of Software Engineering - Spark, AWS, Databricks, Java

What you'll do

• Guide engineers, set team expectations, and coach and mentor team members.
• Lead project delivery, anticipate cross-team dependencies, and manage stakeholder relationships in line with compliance standards, service-level agreements, and business requirements.
• Drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and SDLC/TLM automation, with human validation and secure data handling.

What they ask for

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience; demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience.
• Experience leading technology projects involving Big Data and Event Driven Architecture, and experience managing technologists.
• Hands-on experience with Spark, Databricks, AWS, and Java.
• Experience leading responsible adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and delivery tools; proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle, agile practices, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.

Nice to have

• Exposure to decision engines such as ODM or Drools.
