Senior Director of Software Engineering - Data and AI

What you'll do

• Set direction for transactional and analytics data and AI platforms, and lead multiple technical areas and departments.
• Scale agentic AI-enabled engineering and SDLC/TLM automation, including governance, validation, security, resilience, testing, and incident response.
• Lead teams and cross-functional initiatives, align senior stakeholders, and prepare data applications and models for AI agent consumption.

What they ask for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years in software engineering, including at least 5 years building and managing large-scale, critical, complex distributed data management systems.
• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience; at least 5 years leading technologists on complex technical issues.
• Experience leading multi-organization adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering models, including governance, measurement, and secure handling of sensitive inputs and outputs.

Nice to have

• Strong data engineering foundations, including complex data models, ETL/ELT patterns, and multi-modal Search techniques.
• Modern data stack proficiency: SQL plus a general-purpose language such as Python, Java, or Scala; distributed systems and cloud literacy.

USD 232,750.00-$325,000.00 base salary
