What you'll do

  • Architect and develop embedded software for spacecraft hardware and subsystems, including propulsion, attitude control, and power.
  • Debug hardware/firmware issues on the ground and in orbit, and build software infrastructure and processes across satellite products.
  • Mentor software engineers and promote embedded software best practices.

What they ask for

  • 5+ years developing embedded software in Rust, C, or C++ for microcontrollers.
  • Strong understanding of a microcontroller’s memory subsystem, instruction pipeline, interrupt controller, and DMA controller.
  • Experience collaborating with hardware engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to debug complex hardware/firmware issues.

Nice to have

  • Rust experience in hard real-time systems, peripheral-driver development without vendor software, or spacecraft flight software.
  • Experience with software verification/testing, fault-tolerant design, hardware-in-the-loop test systems, or maintaining software across product revisions.
