About the job
Own end-to-end firmware development, testing, bring-up, and qualification for safety-critical embedded systems on ARM Cortex-M-class hardware.
What you'll do
- Develop firmware components including drivers, state machines, communication protocols, and programming flows; build a host-testable simulation layer.
- Collaborate with the hardware engineer on board bring-up, register maps, and timing decisions; support environmental qualification.
- Define and enforce firmware safety practices, including what to test, prove, and approve for release.
What they ask for
- 7+ years of professional embedded firmware experience on ARM Cortex-M or comparable, using C, C++, or Rust; evidence of shipped or fielded work.
- Strong bare-metal skills, including interrupts, DMA, clocks, timers, low-power modes, linker scripts, and memory maps.
- Experience with I²C, SPI, UART, and USB CDC, and debugging with a scope or logic analyzer.
- Experience with safety-relevant state machines and testable firmware design, including host tests for logic that does not require target hardware; working English.
Nice to have
- Rust embedded experience, including Embassy or the no_std ecosystem; modern C++ embedded.
