Senior Lead Software Engineer - Data Platform

What you'll do

• Own and lead high-impact, cross-team platform objectives and initiatives from discovery through rollout and ongoing operation.
• Set architectural direction, align roadmaps, and establish reusable patterns, standards, and abstractions across Data Platform teams.
• Support operational health and incident response, while mentoring senior and lead engineers through design reviews, coaching, and hiring.

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, data platform architecture, and large-scale analytical processing.
• Experience leading large, ambiguous, multi-quarter programs and making architectural decisions across teams.
• Hands-on experience with Iceberg-based storage, Spark or EMR-based compute, Airflow-based orchestration, Python-based tooling, modeled data systems, and AWS infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Experience with custom-built databases, CDM-style modeled data layers, or managed table frameworks such as Materialized Views.
• Experience in data governance or regulated-data programs, or building platform automation for complex data operations.

Pay

$216,000 — $324,000 USD (base salary)
