Software Engineer, Conversational Products & Agent Workflows

What you'll do

• Build reliable backend systems, APIs, and asynchronous workflows for AI-driven customer experiences.
• Develop agent features and applied AI capabilities, including retrieval, RAG, evaluation, orchestration, and multi-step workflows.
• Improve production reliability, participate in on-call, and use customer feedback and system metrics to guide product improvements.

What they ask for

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, including backend systems or distributed applications.
• Hands-on experience building or contributing to generative AI or agentic AI applications.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with a modern backend framework such as FastAPI or Django.
• Experience with asynchronous processing or distributed task/event systems such as Celery, Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ, or Redis.

Nice to have

• Experience training, fine-tuning, distilling, or otherwise adapting machine learning or language models.
• Experience with reinforcement learning, AI evaluation infrastructure, or operating AI systems at production scale.

Pay

$116,000 — $174,000 USD base salary
