About the job
Leads the engineering strategy, team, and transformation of Kraken’s financial systems to make financial data and operations reliable, traceable, and auditable.
What you'll do
- Set the financial systems architecture and phased modernization roadmap, and lead a team across financial systems, data engineering, integrations, and ledger services.
- Improve financial data quality, lineage, reconciliation, controls, and auditability across fiat and crypto activity.
- Partner with Finance and Engineering stakeholders to modernize systems safely and establish testing, observability, release, and incident practices.

- Deep understanding of ledgers, subledgers, double-entry concepts, reconciliation, settlement, and auditable financial records.
