What you'll do

  • Engage with client research teams to shape data strategy and project specifications.
  • Run ablation studies and fine-tune open-weight models to measure data’s impact on model performance.
  • Review annotation workflows and quality systems, and collaborate on benchmarks, white papers, and conference submissions.

What they ask for

  • MS or PhD in Machine Learning, NLP, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Hands-on experience fine-tuning large language models, including open-weight models.
  • Strong understanding of LLM training pipelines and how data quality and composition affect training.
  • Experience designing and executing rigorous experiments, including controlled comparisons and statistical analysis.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience at a frontier AI lab, applied ML startup, or in research with direct client or stakeholder interaction.
  • Experience evaluating or benchmarking LLMs, human data pipelines, reinforcement learning, reward modeling, or RLHF; published ML/NLP research.
