About the job
Serves as Lambda’s primary legal partner on U.S. and international employment matters, advising the People team and business leaders and building scalable employment policies and processes.
What you'll do
- Advise across the employee lifecycle, including hiring, compensation, employee relations, investigations, and separations.
- Guide international hiring models and local-entity employment compliance, and manage local providers and outside counsel.
- Own employment policies, agreements, training, disputes, and employment support for transactions and workforce changes.
What they ask for
- JD from an accredited law school and active admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Hands-on experience supporting international expansion using EOR and/or PEO providers and local entities.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. federal and California employment law, with working familiarity with key international employment frameworks.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations and managing employment litigation and agency matters.
Nice to have
- California bar admission or eligibility for California Registered In-House Counsel.
- Experience scaling a company or through an IPO; equity compensation; operational workforces; immigration/global mobility; or global HRIS and EOR platforms.

$189K – $280K USD annual base salary
