About the job
Operates and improves Lambda’s multi-tenant cloud networking platform, SDN infrastructure, and related reliability and deployment systems.
What you'll do
- Operate and scale cloud networking and Kubernetes-based control plane and SmartNIC dataplane services.
- Build automation and improve monitoring, observability, deployment safety, incident response, and operational reliability.
- Collaborate with software, platform, and networking teams; participate in capacity planning and the on-call rotation.
What they ask for
- Experience operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
- Kubernetes application lifecycle management, upgrades, troubleshooting, and production operations experience.
- On-call and incident response experience, with troubleshooting skills across Linux, Kubernetes, distributed systems, and networking.
- Experience with observability tools, multi-datacenter and hybrid cloud environments, and infrastructure automation using Python, Ansible, or similar tools; experience designing CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
Nice to have
- Experience building and operating SDNs, including OpenStack Neutron, OVN, and OVS.
- Experience with Go and/or Python software development; C is a plus.
