About the job

Defines and leads development of a resilient, large-scale control plane for GPU and CPU host provisioning and lifecycle management across Lambda’s compute platform.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement a highly available GPU and CPU host and instance lifecycle control plane.
  • Guide technical decisions on hardware enablement, firmware, boot methods, and DPU utilization; lead multi-team engineering strategy and mentorship.
  • Translate customer requirements into scalable infrastructure capabilities and set engineering standards for mission-critical cloud software.

What they ask for

  • 10+ years building compute-control-plane distributed systems for deploying and lifecycle-managing heterogeneous data-center compute platforms at scale.
  • Deep expertise in durable execution models and distributed systems for cloud-service provisioning.
  • Track record leading large-scale semiconductor hardware enablement and deployment, and deploying new data centers into a global compute platform.
  • Proficiency in one or more of C/C++, Rust, Python, or Go; basic knowledge of software-defined networking fundamentals.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Nvidia AI Factory hardware and software components, including DOCA and CUDA.
  • Knowledge of Linux kernel internals, virtualization, kernel-bypass technologies, high-performance networking, storage protocols, or CSP Kubernetes offerings.
