About the job

Develop generative machine learning models to design functional proteins, evaluate them against biological goals, and improve them using wet-lab results.

What you'll do

  • Curate training and evaluation data, develop evaluation metrics, and prototype and analyze generative models.
  • Collaborate with research, engineering, and protein-design teams; maintain shared code and contribute to compute and ML infrastructure.
  • Plan wet-lab testing with the biology team, run model inference for biological targets, and incorporate experimental feedback.

What they ask for

  • Deep expertise and experience in generative modeling.
  • Experience with ML development, including robust code, version control and code review, cloud training and inference, and parallelization across accelerators.
  • Experience building ML data pipelines for deep learning training and evaluation.
  • Track record on notable ML projects, such as open-source contributions, significant product launches, or high-impact publications.

Nice to have

  • Experience in computational biology, protein design, or ML-driven biology projects.
  • Academic training in physics, biology, chemistry, or a related natural science.

AI focus

Architect and build generative models to design functional proteins, evaluate model performance, and use wet-lab results to improve models.
