About the job

Develops and evaluates manufacturing, analytical, and characterization technologies—especially lentiviral vector purification—to improve cell and gene therapy processes and support technology transfer.

What you'll do

  • Design, optimize, and scale up lentiviral vector downstream purification processes using chromatography and alternative separation technologies.
  • Run feasibility, proof-of-concept, and characterization studies; analyze results and recommend whether technologies should be advanced, implemented, or discontinued.
  • Support integration and transfer of successful technologies into development and manufacturing workflows, and communicate findings through reports and presentations.

What they ask for

  • Ph.D. in Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Virology, Immunology, or a related field; candidates with an M.S. or B.S. and commensurate additional experience may also be considered.
  • Hands-on experience with stirred-tank bioreactors, TFF, sterile filtration, and chromatography for biologics or advanced therapy products.
  • Strong understanding of viral vector manufacturing, gene delivery, analytical methodologies, and molecular biology techniques.
  • Experience with biostatistical tools and experimental design, including JMP (DoE) and GraphPad Prism.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or other data-driven approaches applied to bioprocess development, characterization, or manufacturing.
  • LVV process experience; exposure to HPLC, UHPLC, LC-MS/MS, or Raman spectroscopy; Mandarin.
