About the job

Designs, executes, and optimizes lentiviral vector upstream processes, from cell culture and transfection through bioreactor scale-up and GMP manufacturing support.

What you'll do

  • Develop and optimize seed train, mammalian cell culture, transient transfection, and bioreactor processes for lentiviral vector production.
  • Support process scale-up, technology transfer, and troubleshooting for clinical manufacturing; collaborate across technical teams.
  • Document and communicate findings, and author or review development reports, SOPs, and regulatory submission materials.

What they ask for

  • Advanced degree (PhD preferred, or MS) in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on mammalian cell culture, seed train expansion, feeding strategy, and viral-vector transient transfection optimization experience.
  • Proficiency developing and implementing bioreactor scale-up and scale-down models.
  • Understanding of GMP manufacturing requirements and CMC strategies for early-phase clinical trials; direct experience with cell and lentiviral vector technologies.

Nice to have

  • Lentivirus experience.
  • Experience with large-scale (>50L, e.g., 200L/500L) upstream bioreactor processes; Mandarin is a plus.
