About the job

Architect high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuit solutions for optical transceivers and photonic interconnect products, defining specifications and collaborating across engineering teams.

What you'll do

  • Propose architectures for 50G-and-beyond AMS blocks, including drivers, TIAs, equalizers, ADC/DACs, PLLs, and CDRs.
  • Work with analog and photonics teams on performance, power, and area estimates and high-bandwidth interconnect solutions.
  • Author, review, and validate architectural specifications.

What they ask for

  • PhD in electrical engineering, physics, applied physics, or a discipline related to analog design.
  • Experience designing and testing optical front-end receivers and transmitters and related circuits in advanced CMOS.
  • Power user of Cadence Virtuoso, Cadence Spectre, Verilog-A, and IBIS-AMI simulators.
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines and strong written, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

  • Understanding of signal processing and signal integrity in optical communication.
  • Experience with silicon photonic devices, including Mach-Zehnder and microring modulators and thermally tuned components.
