About the job

Leads hands-on verification, characterization, modeling, and debugging of high-speed electro-optic links across silicon and system programs.

What you'll do

  • Characterize and debug high-speed electrical/optical hardware; correlate system-level channel models with bench measurements.
  • Own link budgets and verification methodology, and support silicon bring-up and root-cause analysis with analog, package, PCB, and SerDes teams.
  • Develop characterization automation and tools, influence architecture decisions, and mentor engineers while remaining hands-on in the lab.

What they ask for

  • Ownership of verification strategy for a full silicon/system program.
  • Deep expertise in 56G/112G/224G+ serial links, SerDes equalization, and signal integrity.
  • Strong Python/MATLAB skills for team-used automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on lab investigation experience and proficiency with VNA, scopes, BERTs, TDRs, and tools such as ADS, HFSS, Cadence, or COMSOL.

Nice to have

  • Silicon photonics/EO systems at the architecture level; package/PCB/channel co-design ownership.
  • COM/IBIS-AMI modeling or patents/standards contributions (OIF, IEEE 802.3).

Pay

$150,000 — $207,000 USD (base salary)

Tools

Python, MATLAB, VNA, BERTs, TDRs, ADS, HFSS, COMSOL
