About the job

Leads hands-on verification, characterization, modeling, and debug of high-speed electro-optic links across silicon and system programs.

What you'll do

  • Characterize and debug high-speed electrical/optical hardware; measure eye diagrams, BER, jitter, equalization, and channel impairments.
  • Develop system-level channel models, link budgets, and verification methods, correlating models with bench measurements.
  • Support silicon bring-up and root-cause investigations, guide architecture tradeoffs, mentor engineers, and build characterization automation.

What they ask for

  • Ownership of verification strategy for a full silicon/system program.
  • Deep expertise in 56G/112G/224G+ serial links, SerDes equalization, and signal integrity.
  • Hands-on lab experience leading difficult investigations; track record mentoring engineers.
  • Strong Python/MATLAB skills and proficiency with VNA, scopes, BERTs, TDRs, and tools such as ADS, HFSS, Cadence, or COMSOL.

Nice to have

  • Silicon photonics/EO systems at the architecture level; package/PCB/channel co-design ownership.
  • COM/IBIS-AMI modeling or patents/standards contributions (OIF, IEEE 802.3).

Pay

$155,000 — $190,000 USD (base salary)

Tools

Python, MATLAB, VNA, BERTs, TDRs, ADS, HFSS, COMSOL
