PhD in a computational discipline — translational bioinformatics, computational biology, biomedical informatics, biostatistics, epidemiology, machine learning, or related — with research centered on human biomedical data.

About the job

Build and evaluate systems that assess whether clinical programs’ mechanisms are supported by human evidence and whether trial designs adequately test those mechanisms.

What you'll do

  • Analyze human biomedical data to assess whether mechanisms are active and rate-limiting in relevant patient populations.
  • Evaluate trial design—including endpoints, biomarkers, dosing, and enrollment—and build scalable assessments and outcome-verifiable forecasts.
  • Collaborate across scientific and engineering teams, communicate findings, and contribute to publications and scientific engagement.

What they ask for

  • PhD in a computational discipline with research centered on human biomedical data.
  • Fluent Python and substantial experience analyzing human genetic, multi-omic, cohort, trial, or real-world data in reproducible pipelines.
  • Mechanistic reasoning about therapeutic interventions and clinical development knowledge sufficient to assess protocols.
  • Ability to judge evidence and what was knowable at a given time, and to make assessments reproducible through systems and evaluation.

Nice to have

  • Experience with human genetics for target identification and validation, biomarker development, patient stratification, or clinical trial and real-world data.
  • Experience evaluating language models or agents, forecasting, survival analysis, or structured evidence frameworks.
