About the job

Conduct high-throughput automated chemical synthesis and experimentation, maintain laboratory workflows, and support scientists with reliable data and troubleshooting.

What you'll do

  • Run automated small-molecule synthesis and high-throughput experiments, including reactions under high temperature, high pressure, and inert conditions.
  • Develop and deploy design-build-test DOE protocols and integrated automation workflows; troubleshoot instruments and improve operations.
  • Prepare chemicals, reagents, samples, and consumables; maintain experimental data and flag unusual results for scientist review.

What they ask for

  • Bachelor’s or MS degree in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical/Materials Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent laboratory experience).
  • >1 year of experience with bench top and wet lab environments in an industrial setting with high throughout, performing pipetting, chemical handling, solution and sample preparation, and high temperature annealing.
  • Hands-on experience synthesizing small molecules, automation familiarity, and data handling.
  • Experience handling and disposing of acids and bases, synthesizing in fume hoods and glovebox conditions, and handling organics.

Nice to have

  • Additional familiarity with nanoparticles.
  • Experience in high-throughput production or factory environments, basic troubleshooting of synthesis tools, or familiarity with automated workflows and custom scripts.
