Delivers merchandise and appliances to customers while providing customer service, loading and securing deliveries, and maintaining vehicle and DOT compliance.
What you'll do
- Plan routes and delivery activities, load and verify merchandise, and deliver orders on schedule.
- Assist customers, including unloading, installing, and testing appliances at delivery.
- Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles, update delivery status, and complete DOT reporting.
What they ask for
- Class A CDL where required for multi-unit CMVs, or Class A or B CDL with air brake endorsement where required for single-unit CMVs.
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment; ability to pass an MVR screen.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic; must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations and obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law.
Nice to have
- 1 year driving a semi-truck/trailer or driving-school certification.
- 6 months of in-home delivery or retail customer service; 3 months operating a forklift or Moffett is also preferred.
Pay
$22.90 - $24.70 per hour (base salary)
