Sales Floor Dept Supervisor - Appliances-Cabinets-Millwork

What you'll do

• Coach, train, delegate work to, and manage the performance and coverage of associates; communicate sales and service practices and concerns to leadership.
• Support customer sales, merchandising, down stocking, inventory management, and area recovery, including supervising associates across departments as needed.
• Promote safe work practices, monitor power-equipment use, conduct safety walks, and report hazards; may occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty.

What they ask for

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of retail experience, or 5 years of retail experience.
• 1 year of customer service experience; 1 year supporting Pro customers is listed for Pro Department Supervisor roles.
• Experience directing or supervising teams, supporting associate training and development, and working cross-functionally.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law.

Nice to have

• 3 years of retail customer service experience; Pro Department Supervisor roles also prefer 3 years supporting Pro customers.
• Direct-report leadership, home improvement retail, fast-paced retail, manager-on-duty/key-carrying, or listed store-computer-systems experience.
