Provides employment-law advice and litigation support to Lyft’s Employee Relations and People teams, helping guide employment practices and support a global workforce.
What you'll do
- Advise on employment matters including HR practices, performance management, terminations, leave, investigations, and accommodations.
- Investigate pre-litigation and litigation matters, develop resolution strategies, and coordinate with outside counsel.
- Guide policy compliance, deliver training, monitor legal developments, and partner with People and Legal teams.
What they ask for
- 4+ years practicing employment law at a leading law firm and/or in-house, with experience and/or interest in advice and counseling.
- Experience litigating and/or counseling on compliance with federal and state anti-discrimination, harassment, and retaliation laws.
- Active and in good standing with a State Bar and eligible to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
- J.D. from a top-tier law school.
Nice to have
- Prior in-house or seconded technology company experience.
- Prior in-house experience and expertise supporting a global workforce.
Pay
$132,480-$165,600 USD base salary
