Manage outside counsel and vendor billing, maintain billing-platform processes, and support legal spend reporting and broader Legal Operations initiatives.
What you'll do
- Review and process invoices, audit billing for errors and guideline compliance, and resolve billing disputes.
- Operate the Onit eBilling and matter management platform, including invoice processing, accruals, and rate and budget maintenance.
- Partner with Legal Operations and Finance on close and reconciliation, and develop spend metrics, dashboards, and workflow improvements.
What they ask for
- At least 2+ years of legal billing or eBilling experience in an in-house legal department, law firm, or both.
- Hands-on experience with an eBilling / matter management platform and familiarity with LEDES invoice formats.
- Working knowledge of outside counsel billing guidelines, alternative fee arrangements, rate structures, and accruals.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills, with accuracy in high-volume, deadline-driven billing cycles.
Nice to have
- A bachelor’s degree or higher preferred; coursework or a background in accounting, finance, or business administration is a plus.
- Experience with tools such as Ironclad, Evisort, Tonkean, and Google Suite is a plus.

$59,040-$73,800 USD base salary
