What you'll do

  • Develop configuration baselines, first-order vehicle sizing, and mission-coupled multidisciplinary trades.
  • Assess architectural alternatives, technical risks, and model validation needs; present recommendations to guide vehicle decisions.
  • Develop conceptual CAD geometry and collaborate across engineering teams while mentoring junior designers.

What they ask for

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrated hypersonic or high-speed atmospheric conceptual design across multiple vehicle programs, including configuration development, vehicle sizing, and architecture-level trades.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle performance, aerodynamics, propulsion integration, structures, mass properties, aerothermal tradeoffs, and multidisciplinary design.
  • Ability to close competing system requirements into vehicle architecture recommendations; communicate and collaborate across teams.

Nice to have
