About the job

Develop and integrate mission-autonomy software that turns mission objectives into reliable autonomous behavior for aerial platforms, from simulation through flight testing and deployment.

What you'll do

  • Build mission-planning, decision-making, task-execution, and contingency-management capabilities; integrate them with vehicle and ground-control systems.
  • Create simulation, test automation, and mission-evaluation tools; analyze telemetry and flight data to improve software.
  • Support integrated ground and flight testing and collaborate across engineering teams to deliver vehicle capabilities.

What they ask for

  • Strong software-engineering skills in modern C++ and Python.
  • Experience developing production software on Linux and software for autonomous systems, robotics, or aerospace platforms.
  • Hands-on experience implementing at least one mission-autonomy capability, such as task planning, behavior trees, state machines, or mission execution.
  • Experience taking software from prototype through integration, testing, and deployment on real hardware.

Nice to have

  • Three or more years of professional experience developing software for autonomous vehicles, UAVs, robotics, aerospace, or defense systems.
  • Experience with autonomous aerial vehicles, multi-agent autonomy, degraded communications, simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing, or Rust.
