About the job
Own and operate external data-capture systems for UAS flight tests, synchronizing video and sensor data with vehicle telemetry and preparing reliable datasets for engineering analysis.
What you'll do
- Plan, deploy, troubleshoot, and improve external capture systems, including cameras, drone footage, sensors, and time synchronization.
- Support flight-test planning, readiness reviews, dry runs, test-day execution, and post-test data handoff.
- Coordinate with engineering, flight operations, vendors, and range personnel; organize and document captured datasets.

- 3+ years of experience with flight test instrumentation, field data capture, camera systems, sensor integration, or similar live-test technical operations.
- Experience with high-speed video systems and/or drone-based capture in outdoor operational environments; knowledge of synchronizing multiple data sources and correlating capture data with telemetry or ground-control logs.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment in the field, travel frequently for multi-day deployments, and meet export-control, security, and customer-access requirements.
Nice to have
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
- Experience with UAS, defense, or aerospace flight testing; ground-control software; post-test reconstruction; or Python or Bash scripting.
Pay
$105,000 — $140,000 USD (base salary); $140,000 — $180,000 USD (base salary)
