About the job

Build and improve a browser-based 3D engine and CAD tools for inspecting LiDAR point clouds and producing engineering drawings.

What you'll do

  • Build 3D tools for point-cloud inspection and engineering drawings; extend the point-cloud renderer and GPU picking system.
  • Develop geometry features for clipping, snapping, construction planes, and camera controls; improve shared rendering and interaction systems.
  • Find and fix performance problems with large real-world datasets.

What they ask for

  • Strong foundation in 3D math and spatial reasoning, including transforms, planes, and projections.
  • Experience building software through coursework, personal projects, internships, or full-time work.
  • Ability to read and change code written by others; attention to correctness and performance.
  • Experience with TypeScript and browser graphics, or comparable experience writing performance-sensitive graphics code in a statically typed language.

Nice to have

  • WebGL, GLSL, Three.js, Cesium, or another real-time graphics system.
  • Point clouds, geospatial data, large-coordinate rendering, or relevant geometry, spatial-algorithm, numerical-method, CAD, mapping, visualization, robotics, or game-engine projects.
