Maintains, repairs, and fabricates fixed-plant equipment and site infrastructure at an operating copper mine.
What you'll do
- Diagnose, install, repair, and rebuild plant equipment and infrastructure; perform preventive and condition-based maintenance.
- Weld and fabricate structural and piping repairs; conduct basic electrical troubleshooting and work with electricians on process equipment.
- Operate material-handling equipment, document work in the CMMS, and follow mine safety procedures.
What they ask for
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in fixed plant, mining, industrial, or heavy manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on skills in at least one of pumps, welding and fabrication, or mechanical troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of pumps, motors, gearboxes, piping systems, and mechanical drive systems; basic electrical knowledge, including wiring diagrams, a multimeter, and troubleshooting motors and controls.
- Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS); ability to work safely in an active mine and perform physically demanding tasks.
