About the job
Designs and delivers mining and refining projects at the Moab site, from initial scoping through commissioning and handover.
What you'll do
- Scope, design, and lead process improvement and capital projects, including equipment selection and startup.
- Use plant data to improve recovery, remove bottlenecks, and reduce costs; partner with controls and operations on strategies and procedures.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, vendors, and contractors; lead hazard reviews and management of change.
What they ask for
- 4+ years of process or mechanical engineering experience in mining, chemical, oil & gas, or other heavy industrial operations.
- Hands-on experience taking projects from design through commissioning and startup.
- Comfort reading and producing P&IDs, PFDs, and equipment datasheets.
- Comfort working independently and willingness to tackle unfamiliar problems.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, or another related engineering degree.
- Experience with hydrometallurgy, leaching, solvent extraction, or electrowinning; EIT or PE; process data historians, Python, or similar tools.
