Design Verification Engineer - Compute
$160K–$600K
Mountain View (HQ) or Remote · Hybrid · Full-time · Posted Oct 22, 2026
- Experience
- At least 5 years; end-to-end concept-to-silicon tapeout experience is required.
- Visa sponsorship
- Employment is contingent on the applicant being able to perform job functions in compliance with U.S. export control laws without obtaining a license from U.S. export control authorities.
About the job
Verifies MatX’s compute hardware subsystem and associated software through silicon design milestones, from test planning and coverage closure to tapeout and production silicon.
What you'll do
- Develop scalable verification methodology across blocks, subsystems, full chip, and system-level validation; create testbenches, tests, and artifacts for coverage closure.
- Own subsystem or block verification execution and qualify software-stack components on the subsystem.
- Plan and lead verification reviews, track execution, and drive closure toward design freeze and tapeout.
What they ask for
- At least 5 years of silicon design-verification experience, including end-to-end work from architecture or design specification through tapeout to production silicon.
- Production experience with SystemVerilog, UVM, assertion-based verification, and both formal and simulated verification.
- Experience with Python, C/C++, or similar programming and scripting languages for verification and silicon modeling.
- Production experience creating portable tests and drivers for silicon validation and post-silicon debug; strong understanding of high-performance compute microarchitecture, memory management, and related design concepts.
Nice to have
- Numerics knowledge; prior work on accelerators, DMA engines, or systolic operations/arrays.
- Rust or functional-programming background; familiarity with emulation/prototyping or hands-on silicon debug and bring-up.
