About the job

Build and evaluate AI-agent tooling and workflows that improve agents’ effectiveness on hardware engineering tasks across RTL design, design verification, and physical design.

What you'll do

  • Pair with RTL, DV, and PD engineers to identify and ship improvements to agent context, tools, and harnesses.
  • Build tools for agent-generated code workflows, including tools that make large diffs easier to review.
  • Replay historical repository bugs against agent configurations and use the results to guide tooling choices.

What they ask for

  • RTL design, DV, or PD fluency, or ability to develop it quickly.
  • Heavy use of coding agents and strong judgment about their permissions and verification.
  • Experience building engineering workflows adopted and retained by other engineers.
  • Ability to identify confidently incorrect agent outputs and improve their harnesses.

Nice to have

  • Built tooling or automation for chip design flows.
  • Familiarity with Bluespec or another high-level HDL, or with architecture and performance simulators.
