What you'll do

  • Design, prototype, and test mechanical systems for accurate recording and efficient assembly and manufacturing.
  • Analyze tolerances, loads, and sensor alignment, validating assumptions through physical measurements.
  • Collaborate with electrical and sensor engineers and suppliers on packaging, thermal paths, service access, quality, and manufacturability.

What they ask for

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (e.g., SolidWorks or Onshape) and ability to produce clear engineering drawings.
  • Solid understanding of mechanics, materials, tolerances, fits, fasteners, and dimensional inspection.
  • Hands-on experience building prototypes and testing physical assemblies; knowledge of manufacturing processes.
