5+ years of hands-on experience building, maintaining, or improving SLAM, visual-inertial odometry, and Structure-from-Motion pipelines, including production systems.

About the job

Build and operate production systems that refine camera calibration online, monitor calibration drift across a robotics device fleet, and support these systems with SLAM/VIO and diagnostic tools.

What you'll do

  • Develop continuous camera calibration and harden video-based refinement using real fleet recordings and benchmarks.
  • Create fleet monitoring, calibration metrics, database/version history, and tools for operations and researchers.
  • Maintain SLAM/VIO foundations and coordinate calibration requirements and device validation with hardware teams.

What they ask for

  • Hands-on production experience with SLAM, VIO, and SfM pipelines.
  • Experience with online or continuous calibration and camera/IMU calibration, including synchronization and sensor limitations.
  • Strong understanding of multi-view geometry, linear algebra, and optimization.
  • Clean, efficient, scalable C++ and Python; ability to specify requirements to cross-time-zone hardware teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience with video-based or markerless calibration; tools such as Kalibr, GTSAM, or Ceres Solver.
  • Experience with fleet observability, spatial tooling, or ML infrastructure and data pipelines at scale.
