About the job

Develops data-analysis and machine-learning pipelines that turn biological research data into actionable insights and support molecular design and closed-loop optimization.

What you'll do

  • Work with wet-lab scientists to define optimization objectives and metrics and encode domain-specific priors and constraints for computational modeling.
  • Build data-analysis pipelines and collaborate on ML pipelines for de-novo design and active learning in bioengineering.
  • Contribute to the research roadmap and advise scientists on relevant research and methods.

What they ask for

  • Deep grounding in synthetic biology, molecular engineering, and computational data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, BoTorch, and Pyro, with ability to write clean, reproducible, production-grade code.
  • Experience bridging machine learning and experimental science, especially with sparse, noisy, or high-cost data.

Nice to have

  • Experience in biomolecular ultrasound.
  • Familiarity with NGS, Omics, ML, and molecular engineering concepts.
