About the job

Build and maintain shared image-analysis tools that turn image series into reliable measurements for scientific imaging, screening, and probe-positioning workflows.

What you'll do

  • Develop image detection, registration, correction, and response-measurement workflows, including alignment to anatomical references.
  • Validate methods using reference measurements, controls, and regression tests; define accuracy, repeatability, and failure criteria with scientists.
  • Maintain documented, tested Python tools and integrate them with acquisition and reconstruction workflows while optimizing runtime and memory use.

What they ask for

  • Experience developing or substantially improving quantitative image-analysis workflows used by others.
  • Strong practical image-processing and spatial-reasoning skills, including detection and image registration.
  • Strong scientific Python skills and experience maintaining tested, documented software.
  • Sound numerical and signal-processing judgment, plus practical judgment about runtime and memory use.

Nice to have

  • Multimodal image registration, particularly alignment to MRI; ultrasound, microscopy, or other scientific imaging.
  • GPU or distributed image processing; learned image-analysis methods; production-quality scientific software; AI tools or agents for scientific software development.

Pay

$185K – $225K USD base salary

Tools

Python, Bazel, GPU, MRI

AI focus

Developing and evaluating learned image-analysis methods is useful but not required; using AI tools or agents to develop scientific software and optimize processing pipelines is also useful but not required.
