AI Research Scientist - FAIR, MSL

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and evaluate machine learning algorithms and model architectures using large-scale training infrastructure.
• Run experiments, analyze model behavior and performance, and collaborate to translate research into production systems.
• Prepare research papers and maintain high standards for research code, reproducibility, and documentation.

What they ask for

• 2+ years of experience conducting machine learning research, including developing and evaluating novel models or algorithms.
• Experience implementing machine learning systems in Python and at least one deep learning framework such as PyTorch.
• Experience designing and running experiments, including statistical analysis of results.
• Currently has or is obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience; degree must be completed before joining.

Nice to have

• Experience training or fine-tuning large-scale models on distributed compute infrastructure.
• Publication record at peer-reviewed machine learning venues such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, or CVPR.

Pay

$122,000/year to $181,000/year (base salary)
