About the job

Owns the design, integration, qualification, and manufacturing ramp of advanced sensing and illuminator modules for Meta’s next-generation AR/VR and wearable products.

What you'll do

  • Lead module development from solution exploration and vendor evaluation through design, qualification, NPI, and mass-production ramp.
  • Define system, module, and component requirements; coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors; and lead testing, failure analysis, and quality improvements.
  • Support manufacturing bring-up and troubleshooting, document technical decisions and results, and report progress to stakeholders.

What they ask for

  • 6+ years of industry experience in optical sensing modules for consumer electronics or similar high-volume products.
  • Experience as a camera-module technical owner or equivalent end-to-end module owner; experience taking an NTI project into NPI.
  • Working experience with packaging, assembly, and test methods at consumer or mass-production scale; experience with CMOS image sensors, thermal sensors, and LED or VCSEL illuminators.
  • Experience with DFMEA and PFMEA, optical module testing, offshore manufacturing vendors, and translating product features into system/module/component requirements.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with reliability testing, common module failure modes, and multimodal sensing stacks (dToF/iToF + RGB + thermal).
  • Experience implementing responsible AI practices, integrating AI tools to improve workflows, and developing AI skills such as prompt/context engineering or agent orchestration.
