About the job
Runs structural and thermo-mechanical simulations to guide mechanical design of Meta's liquid-cooled AI accelerator modules.
What you'll do
- Build, mesh, and run ANSYS structural FEA models for accelerator modules, PCBs, and mechanical hardware.
- Evaluate stress, strain, deflection, and warpage under assembly, loading, and temperature conditions; run parametric studies.
- Correlate simulations with lab data, document results, and present design recommendations.
What they ask for
- Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
- Hands-on ANSYS Mechanical or Workbench experience for structural FEA.
- Foundation in solid mechanics, strength of materials, and material behavior.
- Must obtain and maintain work authorization in the country of employment; intends to return to a full-time degree program after the internship.
Nice to have
- Experience with thermo-mechanical, warpage, or composite/laminate modeling; simulation-to-test correlation; or ECAD/MCAD integration.
- Familiarity with 3D CAD (Creo preferred; SolidWorks acceptable) and scripting or automation (e.g. Python, APDL).
