Network Engineer, Deployment & Support

What you'll do

• Plan, schedule, and execute optical network deployments and migrations across backbone, metro, long-haul, and subsea systems.
• Coordinate technical requirements, implementation plans, testing, and production handoffs across engineering, operations, and partner teams.
• Automate network configurations and migrations, contribute to deployment strategies, and use AI to improve network operations.

What they ask for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience; degree must be completed before joining.
• 5+ years of experience in optical network engineering, design, or deployment, including DWDM, ROADM, OTN (G.709), and coherent optics (400G/800G).
• Experience with optical line systems and transponder platforms, complex network deployments, and field work in third-party facilities, exchanges, data centers, or central offices.
• Experience building automation solutions (e.g., Python, Go), working with network configuration management tooling, and integrating AI tools into workflows.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree (Master’s, PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning models.

$106,995/year to $159,000/year USD base salary
