About the job

Develop and evaluate scalable mid-training methods for robotics world action models using egocentric video and robot data.

What you'll do

  • Develop methods, training pipelines, and experiments for mid-training WAMs and assess downstream performance and generalization.
  • Evaluate models in simulation and on real robots, and collaborate with research scientists and engineers.
  • Communicate findings and publish research at leading machine learning, computer vision, and robotics venues.

What they ask for

  • Currently has or is pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, or a related STEM field.
  • Research experience training video models or robotics foundation models.
  • Experience implementing and training deep learning models using Python and PyTorch or a comparable framework.
  • Experience designing controlled experiments, analyzing results, and debugging machine learning algorithms.

Nice to have

  • Experience training VLAs, WAMs, or other foundation models for embodied decision-making; diffusion or flow-based policies; action-sequence prediction; or action-conditioned world models.
  • Experience with distributed multi-GPU or multi-node training, evaluating policies on physical robots or simulation benchmarks, or a strong publication, grant, fellowship, or patent record.
