Leads end-to-end signal integrity simulation strategy and system-level modeling for next-generation quantum computing systems, guiding architecture decisions and performance validation.

What you'll do

  • Develop models to predict signal fidelity, crosstalk, timing, noise, attenuation, and bandwidth across the quantum control and readout stack.
  • Use simulation-based analysis to inform architecture trade studies and design decisions, identifying risks and optimizing performance.
  • Establish simulation methodologies, modeling standards, and validation practices while partnering with hardware teams.

What they ask for

  • Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field and 3+ years technical engineering experience; OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field and 6+ years; OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field and 8+ years; OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet required Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
  • Provide proof of citizenship, U.S. permanent residency, or other protected status for export-control eligibility assessment; citizenship will be verified with a valid passport, with other documents accepted where applicable for lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees.

Nice to have

  • Experience with signal integrity, RF engineering, electromagnetic simulation, or system-level modeling; including industry-standard simulation tools and correlation with experimental measurements.
  • Experience with cryogenic or quantum hardware, multi-domain systems, Python-based simulation workflows, advanced packaging, and/or technical leadership across teams.
