Principal Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-forward APIs, model context protocols (MCPs), and scalable services; lead features from concept through launch.
• Write reusable, high-quality code; break down work, estimate tasks, and contribute to design documentation.
• Monitor services as an on-call DRI, improve reliability and performance, and mentor teammates.

What they ask for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience coding in a listed language, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check at hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Nice to have

• Master's degree and 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor's degree and 12+ years, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of full-stack software development; enterprise-scale software experience; proficiency in a back-end language; experience with RESTful APIs and microservices.

Pay

USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year (base salary); USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year (base salary) for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
