Principal Supercomputing Operations Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Own interconnect fabric operations and lead high-severity incidents through recovery and root cause analysis.
• Debug issues across fabric, GPU, hardware, firmware, driver, and OS layers; define reliability models and prevent recurring failures.
• Build automation, telemetry, diagnostics, and tooling, and author operational playbooks and escalation frameworks.

What they ask for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience coding in a listed language, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
• The posting lists hands-on interconnect-fabric operations and debugging, production infrastructure ownership, and Linux systems knowledge among preferred qualifications.

Nice to have

• 6+ years operating large-scale distributed systems, HPC, or AI infrastructure in production.
• Bachelor's degree plus 10+ years of technical engineering experience, or master's degree plus 8+ years, or equivalent experience; demonstrated ownership of mission-critical infrastructure and experience debugging across hardware, firmware, drivers, and software.

Pay

USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year (base salary); USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year (base salary)
